We have spent collectively over 30 years in the computer field before making the move to the exciting world of real estate.
Dave is originally from Montreal, Canada.
Pat was born & bred in Toronto, Canada.
Dave has moved a few times, just in Canada. From Montreal, to Ottawa, to Toronto.
We met at Sears Canada. We were married in August of 92.
But as our story goes along, moving and moving a lot has changed Pat forever.
Dave was downsized from Sears Canada in April of 95, one week shy of 22 years.
"It was about 5 weeks later and I will never forget how I knew I had the right life partner. Pat was still with Sears. I had a job interview and she called me to ask me how it went. I told her I had good news and bad news.
The good news was I was offered a job making more money that I had ever had. The bad news was, (knowing Pat would have to leave her family behind in Toronto), the job was in Largo Florida".
HER RESPONSE!! "So what is the bad News??"
So together we relocated to Largo, Florida, only to be transferred after 2 years to Dallas, Texas. We had a wonderful custom built home built in Dallas. Texas is an interesting place. But we missed the Sunshine State so we made the decision to pack up and got back to Florida just as soon as we could!
Our only daughter still lives in Austin, Texas where she is a registered nurse.
We currently live in Safety Harbor and are members of Eastlake Woodlands Country Club. When we're not working for our clients you can find us on the golf tee!
So as you can see, we have experience in moving. Dave can't count the number of boxes he's packed & unpacked in his lifetime!
We have relocated from a different country. And trust me, Canada is different both culturally and from a real estate perspective. We have moved to various cities across this country. We have both experienced the feeling of being downsized at one time or another.
